Insight Hardware Acceleration Error on Laptop
I am getting a hardare acceleration error when a user plays the peripheral vision game with the cars and farm. It crashes when it gets to the second round where it will speed up. After hitting OK when getting the error message, I get a Macromedia error. I have checked the hardware acceleration, and it is already set to full. I had just set up this laptop and ran Windows Update shortly before, so it is probably not a driver issue. Due to the fact this is a laptop, installing an external video card is not an option for me. Please let me know if you can help.... Thanks.

Inappropriate?It is really odd - I started with the diagnostic version, and the error stopped happening, but the exercise I was using is suddenly very different than it was before. It appears that the exercise has also changed when I am not in "diagnostic mode". Any suggestions? At least it is not crashing now!

Hmmm... That's strange. How is the exercise different? This is certainly an interesting fix for the error. Please let us know if the error happens again and send the standalone diagnostics. Thanks for keeping us posted on this.

Sorry for the slow response! The exercise now looks nothing like a farm (like it did before). I'll go back and check on it and let you know exactly what the new version of the exercise looks like.
I can post this in another area, if you like, but I am also having a hard time getting the second user to work. I can set it up just fine, but when I go to log in as the second user, Insight closes abruptly. This happens every time. Any suggestions? I don't get any error messages. The first user works just fine. -
Hi Faith - RE the first problem, the exercise views change quite a bit as the program progresses. It will probably be hard to nail down exactly what happened!
RE the second problem, we'll need you to reproduce it while running the program in diagnostics, and then post the diagnostic zip file so we can take a look at the logs. (Instructions) -
Inappropriate?Thanks for your quick repsonse! I'll just assume the problem is permanently fixed - by the diagnostic program! I will also post the second problem in its own posting so you can close this one, and track the second issue separately.
