This presupposes that one is using the Windows firewall. But, what about those that are using either Norton, McAfee or, as in my case, ESET Smart Security? Because I am using a different firewall my Windows firewall is turned off, so I don't believe adding a program to be allowed through is going to do any good.

  Hi Ron, If you are unable to activate or launch your program, you may need to add executables to your firewall exception list. As you’ve stated, the method for accomplishing this will vary depending on which firewall program you use. The program executables are specific to the Brain Fitness Program, so these remain the same regardless of which security program you are using.

Idon't have a firewall, but do have virus protection through Advanced System Care and AVG Free. How will these affect the installation?

  Hi Sally - Please see my comment to Ron above. I would recommend trying to install the program without making any changes. If you encounter a message that says "you are not connected to the internet" and you are connected to the internet, you will need to add our program files listed above to the exceptions list in your firewall program.
